Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your personal data when you visit this website (the “Site”). It is written under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is Your Bakery, 70 High Street, Whitton, Twickenham TW2 7LS (“we”, “us”).

1. What we collect and why

The Site is here to tell you about the bakery, our menu and where to find us. On it:

• There are no sign-up forms, contact forms or any other places where you enter your details.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking tools (such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel) are used.
• The Site sets no cookies in your browser.
• The Site stores nothing in your browser (no local storage or session storage).
• Our fonts and photos, including the Instagram photos, are served from the Site itself, not from other companies’ servers.

However, so that the Site can work and be kept secure, the following data is processed automatically:

• Server and connection logs: your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the page requested and your browser details (user agent).

2. Our lawful basis

We process this technical data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): delivering the Site to you and protecting it against misuse. This does not override your rights, as the data is limited to what any website needs to work.

3. Who else receives data, and third-party services

We do not sell or share any data for marketing or advertising. The Site’s technical set-up does involve the following:

• Hosting: the Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard server and security logs (IP address, time of access and similar) to deliver the Site and keep it secure. Cloudflare may process this data outside the UK, under the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
• Google Maps: the map in the “Visit us” section is a drawing until you choose to open the interactive map. Nothing is loaded from Google before that. When you click the map, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy.
• External links: links such as Instagram, Google Maps directions and Google reviews take you to other websites. Once you are there, their own privacy policies apply.

4. How long data is kept

We do not keep any personal data from the Site ourselves. Server logs are kept by Cloudflare only for as long as needed to run and protect the Site, in line with Cloudflare’s own retention periods.

5. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• ask whether we process your personal data, and get a copy of it,
• have inaccurate data corrected,
• have your data erased,
• restrict or object to how your data is processed,
• complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
